Dampness is a common problem for homeowners. It can cause structural damage to your property and poses health risks to you and your family. Kent County Basements specialise in all types of damp proofing treatment and remedial repair in Kent. Our in-house team is well-versed in safety standards and innovative techniques to keep your home safe from dampness. Our solutions aim to suit your requirements and provide peace of mind.

Protect Your Property

Exposure to wet weather and moisture can damage your home’s structural integrity and trigger mould growth. Mould produces allergens that can cause asthma, sneezing, and skin rash.

Rising Damp

When treating rising damp issues, we strictly adhere to the British Standards BS-6576-1985 entitled, “The Installation of a Chemical Damp Proof Course.”

We use an anti-sulphate solution for brickwork jobs to stabilise the salts and prevent them from contaminating the new plaster. Afterwards, the brickwork will be protected with lightweight renovating plaster and the wall will be skim plaster finished.

Penetrating Damp

Excessive rainwater, outdated brickwork, and leaking gutters and pipes can cause damp to puncture your walls. The increased dampness and humidity levels can cause mould, heat loss, and even musty smells.

The first step to correcting penetrating damp is to first determine the source of water ingress into the property. Once the main entry point has been remedied, other issues such as structural damage and wet or dry rot can then be addressed.

Condensation

Our team is committed to providing quality indoor air to everyone. We aim to supply homes with fresh, filtered air through our diverse range of eco-friendly and innovative ventilation systems.

We’ll begin with a comprehensive, no-obligation survey of your property and advise on the best measures to free your home of condensation.
